Located in Takapuna, Auckland. Takapuna Normal Intermediate School is a learner-centred environment, with an emphasis on fostering a community that is safe, collaborative and supportive.
We worked with them to refresh their library. Transforming it to be a multi‑zone destination for creativity, study, and community.
Zoning differentiates between quiet corners, collaborative tables, and casual lounging spots, each equipped with thoughtfully designed plywood furnishings and comfortable seating.
The neutral palette is enlivened with bursts of colour through cushions and plants, promoting focus, calm, and connectivity. A contemporary, wellbeing-centred space where learners feel empowered to explore and share ideas.
