Kākāpō Creek Children’s Garden is a thoughtfully designed early learning environment that places nature, wellbeing and community at its core. The centre’s circular layout brings classrooms together around a shared central courtyard, creating strong visual connections and a sense of belonging for both children and teachers.
Large openings and generous glazing blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, encouraging exploration, collaboration and calm, light-filled learning spaces. Sustainable design principles are woven throughout the project, including natural ventilation, maximised daylight and landscaped outdoor areas that support play and connection to the natural world.
The result is a warm, inviting centre that supports children’s development while reflecting a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and community-focused design.
